Music Education Ezine

Hello and welcome to the September edition of the Fun Music Company Ezine. This month I am excited to announce some major changes to our products and services as a result of your feedback.

Firstly a big thankyou to everyone who participated in our survey last month. We took those survey responses and found two pieces of vital information on the way that you'd like to use our products:

These were:

  1. Most users wanted to have lifetime access to our teaching resources instead of paying a monthly or yearly subscription
  2. Most users loved the idea of having the option (but not an obligation) to get a CD-ROM with the product.
CD ROMs will be available

So in the months ahead we will be implementing these changes and by January next year CD-ROM‘s for all of our products will be available and we'll be upgrading all members to lifetime access of our products. This means that when you buy a product with us at the Fun Music Company you have access to it forever!

Printable Music Theory BookThe most significant change is that our product "Printable Music Theory Books" will no longer have a yearly license option at $19.95, and will cost $49.95 for lifetime access. $49.95 is still excellent value for a product that you can print as many times as you wish, but obviously a little more than it is right now. We've left the yearly license available until the 12th of september, just to give you a chance to grab it now!

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank everybody who has submitted letters, resumes and all sorts of other information about themselves because we sent out an email inviting expressions of interest to write for us.

We have a vision of building an amazing team of writers who can create outstanding quality content which will make life easier for music teachers. This vision is beginning to be realized, and we've not only got some great people in mind to write the theory book but we've assembled an awesome team of reviewers to give qualified feedback to ensure that our products are the best they possibly can be.

If you are interested in working with us in any capacity in the future, just connect with us at the professional networking site Linkedin.com and join our "opportunity group". This is where we will first post all opportunities as they come up, and you can share with us your ideas for how we can work together. As you know our products are in huge demand by teachers all over the world and we are always looking to create more!

Please make sure you have an awesome September and remember, if there’s anything I can do to help you with making your music lessons more fun or easier to plan, just contact me at janice@funmusicco.com

Kind Regards,
Janice Tuck Signature

P.S. I know I already mentioned this last month, but we are just so close to finishing Book two of our "Printable Music Theory Books” series and a Printable Music Lesson Plan Module on “Great Composers”. Keep an eye on your mailbox for invites to try out some free samples!

Howard Gardner on Digital Youth

Howard Gardner is one of the researchers that I really respect and his Multiple Intelligence theory has really impacted the way I think about teaching and relate to people. I found a fascninating interview with him talking about our youth using the internet and the ethical challenges they face.

A Music Lesson from Greece

At the Fun Music Company we are in communication with music teachers from all over the world. These ideas came from a music teacher named Kalliopi Charitaki. It is great to see that music teaching is truly an international language – and that we can all take some small ideas from her work.
