Music Education Ezine

Music Education Ezine for February 2010

Dear ,

Hello and welcome to this first Fun Music Company Newsletter for 2010. I know that we are all really passionate about the impact and importance that music education has upon our students lives and I am really looking forward to continuing to share our common interest of making music lessons fun throughout this New Year.

This year, in order to keep us working on the resources that you need most, we'd like to kickstart the year off by asking for your feedback which will help us in our future direction. What do you need most?..... We already have loads of printable materials available, but what other tools could you use? Do you need Interactive whiteboard materials or IT computer lab resources?

This month, we've put together a very short survey asking just a couple of very quick questions about what resources you would find most useful in your classroom or studio. It'll take less than five minutes of your valuable time, and it will really help us put our efforts into the right things to help you.

We've also got a new product coming soon that we are very excited about:

"The History of Rock and Roll"

Your students can learn about the artists that shaped the sounds of today's music with 15 Lessons from the Elvis and the Beatles through to the stars of today.

This printable materials CD-ROM will be available soon - keep an eye on your mailbox for the release and free samples!

Kind Regards,

Janice Tuck Signature

P.S. keep an eye in your mailbox for information on our new Lifesavers E-book! It's shaping up to be a very valuable addition to any music teachers resource kit and competition entrants will exclusive copies sent to them.

Letter Names In Musical Notation

Have you ever had a student ask why letter names are used to represent musical notes? I had a good think about this and found some fascinating information and teacher resources about it. There's so much to learn about the history of musical notation and there's already a great comment to start a discussion about it.

The World's Biggest Music Lesson

Could this be the world's biggest music lesson ever? This video is the first in a series and is a campaign put together by the English government which reached every student in every school across England last year. Have a look at it and see what you think.

What are the Benefits of Choosing a Quality Musical Instrument?

It's so tempting to settle for the lowest price when purchasing new instruments. Here's an article we put together after meeting with a music wholesaler dealing with quality musical instruments and some of the things we should watch out for.
